Home Suggestions for a Picky Eater
- Show the child food and tell him/her “You do not have to eat this”
- Touch face as much as possible and push down on head
- Do activities that involve “head first” actions (crashing into pillows, diving)
- Give pressure to the jaw
- Oral swipe(brush across roof of mouth 3x, press down on lower
teeth) Do 20 minutes before eating
- Bring in sweet, smooth, cold to such on (easiest to handle)
- Look at food first, smell food, touch and play with food, taste it
(only introduce one food at a time that the child is refusing, may take
weeks before he/she is willing to eat it) |
